#PS2 EYE TOY NOT REGISTERING INSTALL#
I've installed this on 2 different Windows 10 machines, one running Windows version 1909 and the other running version 1903. They eyetoy is missing a driver, when plugged in your computer will recognize that it is a picture/video device but not that it is a webcam, you need to install a driver that will allow your computer to recognize it as a webcam and use it as one. EyeToy: Kinetic Combat is a fitness training program focused around the ancient art of Kung Gar kung fu. You'll find that the default Windows 10 Camera app does not recognize the PS2 EyeToy, but know that it does work in Zoom, Google Hangouts, OBS, and other webcam apps. Once it completes, you're done with those steps. Confirm that yes, you do want to install the unsigned driver, and wait for Windows to do its thing. Under "Manufacturer", scroll down to "Guillemot" and select the EyeToy driver that's listed (if you look up the driver's eyetoy.inf file in a text editor, you'll see the vendor details).
#PS2 EYE TOY NOT REGISTERING DRIVERS#
Next, choose "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer". Select the option to "Browse my computer for driver software". Im not bothered about the eyetoy games, they seem quite kiddyish to me and Ive bought. In Windows Device Manager, right click on the EyeToy camera, then select "Update driver". However, I have the EyeToy, which was the camera for the PS2. Gameplay: The Natal/Kinect games shown so far are clones of existing PS2 Eyetoy games. The PS2 Eyetoy can perform motion capture on twice as many players with up to 4 people playing at the same time. Ideally, you'd be done with setup after that, but there are another set of steps you have to do, none of which were detailed in any of the videos or write-ups I've seen as they were done for Windows 7 and 8. While both have the potential for voice control, the PS2 Eyetoys motion capture operates at 60fps while Natal/Kinects is just 30fps. Once you've restarted Windows 10 with driver signature enforcement disabled, extract the Namtai Eyetoy drivers, right-click on "eyetoy.inf" and select "Install". But once you're done installing the drivers, you can reboot your computer so that driver signature enforcement is back to being enabled. The EyeToy Namtai drivers are unsigned, so you can't do this via a normal startup.

Once you have the drivers, you're going to need to restart Windows 10- via the advanced boot option-into the mode that disables driver signature enforcement. Since you mentioned having a Namtai model, grab the drivers for that. This old YouTube video has links in its description to the drivers I have successfully used in Windows 10 to get my old PlayStation 2 EyeToy cameras working. It's a pain in the ass, but they do work.
